At Nunawading Japanese School, we love teaching Japanese and sharing our language and culture with people who have a genuine interest in Japan.
Since opening in 2013, we have recruited, trained and developed many fantastic Japanese teachers. Our teachers come from different backgrounds and levels of teaching experience, but they all share the same goal, helping our students learn Japanese in a friendly, supportive and enjoyable environment.

Teaching Japanese at Nunawading Japanese School
Our Japanese classes run Tuesday to Saturday, with daytime, evening and Saturday classes available.
Rather than asking every teacher to create their own lessons, our school has developed its own structured Japanese course, teaching materials and classroom methodology. Teachers follow the same course structure and teaching approach, helping provide consistency as students progress from one teacher and level to another.
We also provide training and ongoing support to help our teachers understand how we teach and how to create the energetic, conversation focused classes our school is known for.
Teaching should be enjoyable for teachers as well as students. We want our classrooms to be places where students can laugh, make mistakes, practice speaking and gradually become more confident using Japanese.
